Our Bakery Teams

Serveurs / Baristas

Our Serveurs / Baristas works the storefront and interacts with our customers, providing quality service. They are the face of the bakery! These qualities and more are essential:

  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Passion & knowledge about the products we serve
  • The ability to address complaints and solve problems in courteous, responsive, and creative ways.

While taking and preparing bakery and coffee orders, the Serveurs / Baristas should display salt and light to our customers and the community.

Serveurs / Baristas shift blocks are anywhere from 7:30AM-5:30PM.

Day Baking / Decorating Team

The Day Baking/Decorating Team works throughout the day producing house-made creams, jams, glazes, toppings, and pastry batters. They pipe, bake and fill the macarons and cream puffs, as well as bake the cookies for the day.

Applicants for the Day Baking/Decorating Team:

  • Should enjoy working as part of a larger team in a fast-paced, harmonious environment.
  • Must have strong attention to detail to make the best quality products.

Day Baking/Decorating Team shift blocks are between 6AM and 4PM.

Overnight Baking / Decorating Team

Working in tandem with the Day Baking/Decorating Team, our Overnight Team fries the donuts, bakes the croissants and granola, prepares the Frenchie sliders, and adds the finishing touches to the morning pastries by infusing, glazing, and topping the pastries. Fast-paced and fun, the Overnight Team works together to reach a common goal – having those beautiful, delicious pastries ready to go when the morning Coffee / Sales Team arrives.

Applicants for the Overnight Baking Team:

  • Should be night owls and enjoy working overnight hours within a smaller team of 2-3 people.
  • Must have strong attention to detail to make the best quality products.

Overnight Decorating Team shift blocks are between midnight and 8AM.

Dough / Viennoiserie

Our Dough / Viennoiserie works throughout the day to create our three-day croissant dough, bread doughs, and house-made crackers. A good fit for this team is someone who enjoys:

  • Technical skills
  • Working with larger equipment
  • Attention to detail
  • Precision

Dough / Viennoiserie shift blocks are between 6am – 2pm and 10pm – 6am.

Cake Decorating / Gåteaux

The Cake Team works throughout the day to bake and decorate the simply elegant cakes that Laurel & Pearl is known for. Signature and semi-custom cakes are made from a large choice of cake flavors, frostings, meringues, jams, ganaches, and toppings.

Cake Team shift blocks are between 8AM and 4PM.
